This programme is an intensive 10-week initiative designed to empower unemployed female graduates in Nigeria with the skills, mindset, and resources necessary to become tech-driven social entrepreneurs. This program recognizes the untapped potential of women to create positive change and aims to equip them with the tools to leverage technology for sustainable social impact.

Methodology

The programme follows a comprehensive curriculum that combines theoretical knowledge with practical application. Participants will receive training in entrepreneurial mindset development, business acumen, and cutting-edge technologies relevant to social entrepreneurship.

Key Components

  • Identifying Social Challenges: Participants will learn to analyze and prioritize pressing social issues in their communities, laying the foundation for developing innovative solutions.
  • Ideating Business Models: Through design thinking methodologies, participants will ideate and validate business models that address identified social challenges while fostering economic empowerment.
  • Tech-Enabled Solutions: Participants will gain exposure to emerging technologies, such as AI, IoT, and digital platforms, and learn how to adapt and implement these technologies to amplify the impact of their social enterprises.
  • Mentorship and Networking: Industry experts and successful social entrepreneurs will provide mentorship, guidance, and insights, enabling participants to refine their ideas and strategies. Additionally, participants will be connected to a vibrant ecosystem of stakeholders, potential partners, and investors.
  • Hands-on Experience: Throughout the program, participants will work on developing and refining their social enterprise concepts, culminating in a pitch presentation to potential investors and stakeholders.

Programme Structure

Delivery
  • Week 1 (Hybrid): Orientation and introduction to the program, setting the stage for the upcoming journey.
  • Weeks 2-9 (Online): Comprehensive online learning modules covering entrepreneurial mindset development, business acumen, and tech-driven solutions. Participants will work on capstone projects, applying their knowledge to develop and refine their social enterprise concepts.
  • Week 10 (Compulsory In-Person): Idea Validation and Seed Funding Pitch. This final week will be an intensive in-person session where participants will:
    • Validate their social enterprise concepts through structured feedback sessions and mentorship.
    • Receive guidance on perfecting their pitch decks and presentations.
    • Pitch their social enterprise ideas to a panel of industry experts, potential investors, and stakeholders.
    • Participants with promising concepts may have the opportunity to secure seed funding to kickstart their ventures.

Note: Week 10 is a compulsory in-person component of the program, and attendance is mandatory for all participants.

  • Seed Funding Opportunities: Participants with promising social enterprise concepts may have the opportunity to pitch for seed funding, accelerating their journey to launch and scale their ventures.

Eligibility

The program is open to unemployed and underemployed female graduates in Nigeria who possess a passion for creating positive social change and a willingness to learn and apply entrepreneurial and technological skills. Applicants must demonstrate a strong commitment to addressing social challenges and a drive to create sustainable impact through innovative solutions.
